Brad Johnson was one of the most highly recruited athletes in Cherokee County High School’s history. He was the number two prospect in the state of Alabama according to the Birmingham News and the Birmingham Post Herald. Brad’s accomplishments earned him official visits to colleges such as Penn State, Notre Dame, Alabama, Florida State, and Auburn. However, Brad did not only excel on the football field; he was also successful in the classroom. During his senior year of high school, Brad was selected as a First Team Academic All-American by Adidas and the Birmingham News. He was also selected First Team Scholastic All-American by Tom Lemming in 1985. Brad ended his football career as a four year letterman at Auburn University.
