After a standout basketball career at Cherokee County High School Leah Monteith Goss signed a scholarship to play basketball at the University of Alabama. She helped lead the University of Alabama to the “Sweet 16” all four years she played on the college level. Leah left her mark in the record books at the University of Alabama with 129 games played (first all time), 34 games played in the regular season (tied for first), she shot 84.6 from the free throw line for a season (third all time), and had a 40.5 percent three-point shooting percentage during a season (fifth all time). She was also named to the academic All-SEC team from 1995-98
