Dana Bright Austin and her sister, Jana, are the only female basketball players in Jacksonville State history to have their jerseys retired. After a stellar athletic career in both high school and college, Dana won the prestigious Commissioner’s Trophy that recognizes excellence. In addition to Dana’s athleticism, she was a two-time Academic All-Gulf South Conference and an Academic All-American candidate.
